Oakley Radar EV Prizm Road Cycling Glasses

The Oakley Radar EV Prizm Road cycling glasses are the successor to the legendary Oakley Radar. The new model guarantees a cool look and a better sight on sunny days. In addition, these cycling glasses feature many upgrades compared to the previous model, including the bigger lens that provides a better and bigger field of view.

After much research and testing with some of the world’s best athletes, it was concluded that the person wearing the glasses did not get a fully open view but, rather, had part of the frame blocking their view. Oakley took up this challenge and designed a larger lens for a better and larger field of vision. Another new addition are the ‘surge ports’ to guide the cool air stream. The lightweight yet incredibly sturdy frame is made from Oakley’s own O-Matter material. Combined with the HDO technology and Plutonite lens material, this results in the best possible protection for your eyes. Prizm Road lens for a contrast-enhancing effect
These cycling glasses feature the Prizm Road lens, which is a real all-rounder among the Oakley lenses. Thanks to its light transmittance of 20%, this lens is suitable for both sunny daylight and shady conditions. The Prizm technology regulates the colour pattern and makes dull colours 'warmer', which enhances contrast in a pleasant way. As colours are easier to distinguish, you can see objects better and avoid them effectively.

HDO

HDO stands for High Definition Optics, which refers to the curvature of the lens itself. This curvature matches the natural curve of your eyes, ensuring a crystal clear and distortion-free view at all times.

Field of View

Special optimised lens for cycling. The main challenge was to create a lens with a certain shape and size but without the frame obstructing your view. This turned out to be a tough challenge, because during cycling you often have your head angled down while also looking up. But with this lens Oakley offers a field of view that is as large as necessary without any limitations or blind spots.

O-Matter

Impact resistant frame material that can cope with the most extreme conditions. This material is super lightweight yet incredibly durable. Controlled flexibility increases impact resistance and also helps improve everyday comfort.

Plutonite lens material

One of the most optically pure materials used in modern-day glasses. The material ensures a clear view of what’s ahead and survives almost any impact. The lens filters out 100% of all UVA, UVB, UVC radiation and harmful blue light frequencies up to 400 nm. There is no separate coating on the lens. Rather, it is the lens itself that offers UV protection.

Impact Protection

Three-Point Fit
